EDWARD HEWITT 1768
In the name of God ,Amen.I EDWARD HEWITT of Woodside,being weak in body,but of perfect mind and memory,thanks be given to God.calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men to die,do make and ordain this my last will and testament,and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it as pleased God to bless me in this life.I give and devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form following.
I give and bequeath unto my son JOSEPH HEWITT the sum of ten pounds of lawful money of England.Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter ELIZABETH TWENTYMAN the sum of ten pounds of lawful money of England.Also I give and bequeath unto my grandson EDWARD HEWITT the sum of five pounds of lawful English Money.Lastly I give unto my beloved wife ISABELLA HEWITT and to my son JACOB HEWITT,whom I constitute and ordain joint executrix and executors of this my said last will and testament,with all my household goods,[three words unreadable]note they are objects only] by them freely to be possessed and enjoyed.And I do hereby utterly disclaim,revoke and disannul all and every other testaments,wills,legacys,bequests, and executed by me in any way afore named, willed or bequeathed,ratifing and confirming this and no other my last will and testament.In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five.

Signed sealed and published,prounounced and declared by the said EDWARD HEWITT as his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witness.
