In the name of God,amen,I HENRY HEWITT of Beaumont otherwise Beaumont in the County of Cumberland,yeoman, being in perfect health and sound,mind and memory and understanding.{praised be to almighty God for the same but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life]Do make and publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following,that is to say,First I give and bequeath unto my eldest son WILLIAM HEWITT one guinea.Also I give and bequeath unto my second son ROBERT HEWITT[now in his Majesty,s Horse Guards] one guinea.also I give unto my third and youngest son HENRY HEWITT,also in his Majesty's Horse Guards the sum of ten pounds in current English money.Also I give and bequeath unto to my dear and loving wife MARY HEWITT all and each of my every household goods and implements of household goods of every kind whatsoever within my house to her use and no other for ever.All the rst residue and remainder of all and singular goods,chatles,cattle,bills and bonds ,mortgages,sums or sums of money due unto me and especially or otherwise howsoever and all other my personal estate whatsoever of what kind ,nature or quality soever the same be of,My debts ,legacies and funeral expenses being paid and satisfied,I give and devise and bequeath unto my daughter MARY HEWITT and I do hereby nominate,constitute and appoint my said daughter MARY HEWITT sole executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all and disclaiming all other will and wills by me formally made.In witness whereof I the said HENRY HEWITT have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty nine,
