In the name of God,amen,I JOHN HEWITT of Rosewain in the Parish of [wigton]Blurred] and county of Cumberland,being sick but of perfect memory,Praised be to God.Do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following.
First I commit my soul unto ye hand of Almighty God my saviour,hoping through the death and suffering of Jesus Christ my saviour and redeemer to have forgiven me for all sins and my body I will to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my executors herein after named and for the worldly goods it hath pleased God to bestow upon me,I leave and bestow as followeth.
Item;I leave unto my son JOHN,plough and plough gear,carts and cart goods and everything all the rest of my goods and chattels whatsoever,moveable.I give unto my wife MARY and my son JOSEPH whom I make joint executors of this my last will and testament revoking all others and former wills made by me either in word or writing
