JOHN HEWITT 1849

I JOHN HEWITT of Todhills in the Parish of Rockcliffe in the County of Cumberland do make this my last will and testament that is to say,I give and devise all my Freehold,Buildings,Gardensor Land situate at Todhills in the said parish unto my wife ELEANOR HEWITT during her natural life and at her decease to dispose of the said property to my family as she thinks proper,As I also I give to my said Wife all my stock and crop and household furniture with all my personal effects whatsoever and further I nominate and appoint my said wife ELEANOR HEWITT my sole executor to this my last will and testament.In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of September one thousand eight hundred and forty eight.
