THOMAS HEWITT 1812

At Carlisle 7th February 1812 [this will goes together with Thomas Hewitt 1789]

On which day appeared personally at the city of Carlisle in the Country of Cumberland

ELIZABETH YOUNG and alleged that THOMAS HEWITT late of Rickergate in the Parish of St Mary,Carlisle in the County of Cumberland and diocese of Carlisle,Shoemaker,deceased died intestate so far as she doth know or believe,that soon after the death of THOMAS HEWITT deceased obtained letters of administration of all and singular goods,chattels and credits granted to MARY YOUNG of the City of Carlisle in the county and diocese aforesaid,widow and sister and only next of kin of the said deceased,that the said MARY YOUNG some time ago also departed this life,without lawfully administered the goods,chattels and credits of the said THOMAS HEWITT deceased having such duly made and published her last will and testament. in writing and thereof appointed her this apparent,sale,executrix,whereof she prayed letters of administration of all and singular goods,chattels and credits of the said THOMAS HEWITT deceased which were left unadministered by the said MARY YOUNG deceased to the committees and granted to her the said ELIZABETH YOUNG which required her to give good and sufficient security in that behalf.

The said ELIZABETH YOUNG was then sworn in due form of law to the truth and promises and to faithfully administer and to exhibit a full and perfect inventory and also to render a true and just amount and to faith whenever shall be hereunto lawfully required and that the goods,chattels and credits of the said THOMAS HEWITT deceased aforesaid left unadministered by the said MARY YOUNG,deceased do not amount in value to the sum of twenty pounds.Before me ?GRINDLE
