WILLIAM HEWITT 1699/1700

In the name of God,amen,the first day of February 1699/1700 I WILLIAM HEWITT being sick in body but of good and perfect memory,Praised be to God,Do make and ordain this my last will and testament,in manner and form following,that is to say.First I commend my soul into the hands of God my maker,hoping and appealing through ye merits of Jesus Christ my saviour to be made part take able of life everlasting and I commit my body to ye earth whereof it was made.

Item: Whereas I by deed do give and bequeath to JOHN HEWITT my son and heir apparent

Plow and plow gear,carts and cart gear and to sow ye land and leases together for the year,and ye table.

Item:I give to JANNAT HEWITT 5 sheep. in

And to divide the crop equally among his said children.

And to make ANN HEWITT and JANNAT HEWITT my daughters my sole executors in this my last will and testament.
