WILLIAM HEWITT 1719

In the name of God,amen,I WILLIAM HEWITT of ROCKCLIFFE,being of perfect memory,doo make and ordain my last will and testament on manner and form following,vis First I bequest my soull to the hands of Almighty God my saviour and redeemer hoping thorough his meritorious death and passion receive free pardon and forgiving of all my sins and for my body to be buried in a Christian burial at the discretion of my executors herein after mentioned,vis.

Item;I give unto my son WILLIAM HEWITT a table and a frame and one ark and one bedstead and a large stone trough which stands by the wall in the courtyard.and 5 shillings of money.

Item;I give unto my son HENERY HEWITT one desk a bedstead and a stone trough ,ten acres of wod at the Redhill and thereabouts and 5 shillings of money.

Item;I give unto my son ROBERT HEWITT the sum of 5 shillings

Item;I give unto my son THOMAS HEWITT ten pounds of money

Item;I give unto my son JOHN HEWITT a bedstead and 5 shillings of money

Item;I give unto my son DAVID HEWITT 5 shillings of money

Item;I give unto my daughter ELINOR HEWITT 10 pounds of money.

Item;As to the residue of my goods,money ,moveables,household goods,crops,horses, cows and all my other goods whatsoever I give and bequeath unto MARY my wife and the said Mary my wife a foresaid I leave to be my lawful executor and this I do make and ratify and confirm to be my last will and testament whatsoever said.witness whereof I set my hand and seal this 8th day of July anno Domini 1719
